• Also is carved  “IC XC NI KA” is a Greek Christian phrase meaning “Jesus Christ Conquers” .
  The “IC XC” part is a Christogram, a Greek abbreviation for “Jesus Christ” (IC for IHCOUC or Jesus, and XC for XPISTOC or Christ).
  The “NI KA” (or NIKA) is a separate Greek word meaning “conquers” or “victory” and is not an abbreviation.
